• Wine
You cannot discuss things to do in the area without firstly
talking about wine, as this is possibly one of Spain's
most important wine regions, like Bourdeux is to France
and Napa Valley is to California. Even if
you do not drink wine or thought you have no interest we strongly
urge you to take advantage of the FREE local wine tours &
tasting only minutes from our house. The world famous Torres
wine estate is situated just outside of Vilafranca,
visit this web site for more information www.torres.es
Also you may have seen the Black Cava bottles in
the supermarkets called Freixnet
they have a great wine tour in the wonderful small town of
Sant Sadurni D'Anoia.

• Fun Lovers
Looking for fun….then you need to hit the coast. The
coastline of the Costa Dorada is less rugid than
its Northern neighbour of the Costa Brava, with miles
and miles of flat golden sandy beaches. It has all the important
ingredients: great year-round weather, quality hotels, two
historical major cities - Reus and Tarragona, sleepy fishing villages, excellent restaurants in abundance,
superb road infrastructure and lastly two airports Reus
and Barcelona. Tarragona, perched next to
the coast, is renowned for its fascinating Roman ruins. Reus,
a smaller city, is famous as the birth place of Gaudi
and once was a major trading city in Europe.
